They say the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. This is the story of our thousand miles, through the words of our Founder, Mr. Rajesh S Shetty.

In 2005, my close friend and my son’s pediatrician, Dr. Koppikar, was diagnosed with cancer and he passed away just six months later. The incident had a huge impact on me, as I saw the deadly gravity of the disease up close. A few years later, another friend of mine and a physician himself was diagnosed with cancer and he battled it for few years before succumbing to his pain. The intense suffering of these two people whom I respected and held in high esteem and a cancer survivor within my family made me want to delve deeper into the uncharted waters of cancer. At that time, in the early 2000s, there were very limited treatments available, as cancer was not as common in India, as it is today.

My research led me to be associated with several cancer-research projects which helped me gain a deeper insight into the problems of the people suffering from the disease. In 2006, my work took me to London, where I lived and worked for 6 years. Access to state-of-the-art technology and the newest research in the field helped me pursue my passion of doing something to help ease the suffering of cancer patients.

The turning point was when I realized that counseling was a very important part of the treatment and recovery process in the West, which was not at all the case in India. Being able to discuss their problems openly and receive guidance about how to deal with them contributed to half the recovery of the patient! This was incredibly satisfying to see and so I started implementing the same approach for my friends and patients in India. I would send them the newest medicines and tinctures to help them through their treatment and saw that they made an amazing difference in their fight against cancer. It was during this time that I came to know about the potent medicinal properties of the Graviola fruit and its benefits in fighting cancer.

That was the lightbulb moment! I decided that I would make it my life’s work to help people defeat cancer through these two paths – create and distribute Graviola-related products and aid the recovery process through counseling and personal guidance. I firmly believed that the confidence of the patient is as important in the treatment as the expertise of the doctor and the medicines, so I returned to India, fuelled by the dream of creating Graviola products solely for the benefit of the society, on a strictly non-commercial basis.

Under the guidance of practiced doctors, I began administering Graviola juice and pieces in small quantities to patients and used the leaves to make nourishing tea. Simultaneously, I started counseling and talking to patients in charitable hospitals like NAMCO (Nasik), CIVIL Hospital (Nasik), TATA MEMORIAL (Mumbai), JEEVAN JYOT FOUNDATION (Mumbai), CHRISTIAN MISSIONARIES through Late Brother Hemant Michael & his colleagues in the tribal belt of Saputara, Vada, Palghar, Cochin, Manipur, Nagaland, Odisha, Jaipur, Golden Temple (Amritsar), The Bohri Community Charitable Trust (Bangalore) through Mr Nooruddin Zahabi, Shri Parameswaran of Sunflowerdance (Chennai) and Dr. Feroz Khan of Minority Front (Aurangabad).

There were tons of permutations and combinations of the product in my friend’s Ayurvedic factory, as I strived to make the Graviola fruit juice as perfect and efficient as possible. Once I stabilized and perfected the recipe, I obtained all the necessary licenses and statutory approvals and thus, Anjaneya – the reliever of all medical problems – began.

As research intensified, I added new superfoods to the Indian healthcare system, i.e. Siberian Chaga Mushroom, Vitamin B17, Dandelion Root, Burdock Root, Barbadensis Miller, Curcumin with Bioperin & Lycopene Beta & Grapeseed extract, Moringa Oleifera, Cow Colostrum, etc. Our recent development – Eco Ensulin – is used to regulate blood sugar and is showing excellent results in combating diabetes.

Another galactic shift came with the acquaintance of Dr. Ashvin Dudhrejiya, HOD of Pharmacology, Gujarat Saurashtra University and his PhD student Dr. Behzad Mohadessi from Iran. I assisted Dr. Behzad with clinical material support during his thesis in Saurashtra University in Rajkot, Gujarat, on the role of Graviola in Cancer treatment and learned immensely from them

Today, it gives me immense pleasure to see thousands of people benefitting from Graviola products and leading happier, healthier lives! To see people relieved of their suffering has always been the biggest driver which propels my research and endeavor to formulate newer products for the betterment of the community. I deeply value the personal connect I have with patients and other people around me and look forward to growing that even more.
